Last Sunday was Victorian States. Around 65 players battling it out in a standard tournament at Melbourne High School. I ended up playing the Kithkin deck I’ve been tweaking over the last year (it only gets better with Path to Exiles!). I had spent the week before working on a couple of new deck ideas with Steve. We ended up with a pretty great black/red Rogues and Goblins deck that I played on the Saturday at the store in Frankston. This didn’t have quite the reach or aggression of the Kithkin deck though (due in large part to Windbrisk Heights), so I went with Kithkin instead.

Hello everyone. So, I think it must be about time we drafted some Alara and Conflux… Chelsea and I will be hosting a draft on next Friday evening (the 6th of March) at our place. Usual start time of 7:30pm. I could also be (very easily) persuaded to draft this Friday night (27th Feb) too, if anyone else is keen?

State Championships will be held on Sunday 22nd of this month.
Format: Standard Constructed.
Cost: $20.
Time: 9am registration for 9:30 start.
Venue: Melbourne High School

The top 8 get a foil textless Mutavault, plus other prizes to be announced. So we should all aim for top 8 this time!

So, I’m planning to play in the standard tournament at Games by the Beach in Frankston next Saturday as preparation. Also would be up for playtesting this Saturday if anyone is interested..
