Zendikar Combo Brags
Hey, I had to record this somewhere as a some of you are out of the country (business my arse).
But I’m exited by the fact that with the Zendikar cards that have been spoiled we can have 6 mana of any (or all) colour by turn 3. Does anyone want to guess how? Hint: There is a hint already on this site..

i’ll bite
turn 1 land, birds
turn 2 lotus cobra, fetch land (fetch a land), lotus cobra, birds
turn 3 fetch land (fetch a land) …so 4 mana from cobras, 2 from birds of any color, and then 3 mana from basics!!…..total of 9 mana turn 3!!

That’s pretty good. It does account for 7 of the cards in your hand though…
I was thinking along the lines of:
turn 1, land
turn 2, land, cobra
turn 3, fetch land, harrow (instant goodness) + what ever you like.

[card]Harrow[/card] will be especially insane in limited.
Now the real question has to be what is the best thing you can play on turn three? [card]Identity Crisis[/card]?

And the next question is what deck do you play this in? Obviously a deck with [card]Banefire[/card].

Hmmm, what can you cast for 6 mana that creates a problem for your opponent…
[card]Lurking Predators[/card] (this should be game if it is turn 3)
[card]Nettlevine Blight[/card] (this seems mean)
[card]Obelisk of Alara[/card]
[card]Sovereigns of Lost Alara[/card] —> attack with [card]Lotus Cobra[/card], attach [card]Celestial Mantle[/card] or [card]Elder Mastery[/card] – seems pretty bad…
Even [card]Sorin Markov[/card] or [card]Rampaging Baloths[/card] would be fun.

I would personally love to hit a turn 3 [card]Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker[/card]. you can swipe their biggest threat (and then use it to keep Bolas alive) or just start smacking their lands till you hit his ultimate. But you’re on the money Matt — the “possibilities”.
p.s. so what, like $40 each for a mythic rare?
