I think the no-Doran deck is fine.. it seems like it would play very similarly to the Bant Zoo deck I’ve been playing and am still very happy with — basically zoo with bant charm, and with meddling mage and negate in the sideboard — just that this deck plays discard and extirpate as disruption instead of the blue.
I find the Reveillark deck harder to evaluate, I guess because I’ve never played anything like it in extended. I think this deck might be more fun, but harder to play to get the same advantage, especially if you’re not super familiar with it.
I’d just pick something and play as many games as possible as you can before the PTQ. I reckon that’ll gain you more than any small advantage offered by one reasonable deck over another.

Like Michael I don’t quite understand the reviellark deck
The other looks fairly reasonable to me.
…that said i seem to like dirty combos in extended….
options are Dredge, Hypergenisis, Living End, Scapeshift, Elves and All In Red.
I personally like the sound of Living End and might consider it if I wasn’t playing Dredge.
It’s also cheap to build!

I’m free tomorrow and Wednesday night, and possibly Thursday and Friday nights, but Thursday and Friday days I’ll be free.
So what times would people be starting?? Also, what decks do we have to test against and what decks should we proxy/make to test against??
I was thinking we would need zoo, thopter/depths, all-in-red, Brozek, Affinity, Hypergenesis. Anything else??

Dredge — which Steve has.
Plus Scapeshift (the one with counterspells is better, IMHO) and Elves are missing from that list.

Can you guys all post the cards you want to borrow from me? I want to make sure I don’t double promise anything.
At this point, it seems like Steve wants my Thoughtseizes, Jack my whole bant deck, and Damien, a bunch of U/W/G deck cards: Crovaz, Engineered Explosives (have 3) and Ghost Quarters (have 3 or four — one is in bant deck sideboard).
The other thing I should mention is that after some more goldfishing I think this Thopter Depths list from the GP with Jace’s and Damnations in it is really *really* good, but complex to play. I reckon that is what I would play now if I could devote enough hours to playing with it (and was going to the PTQ, obviously).

other than michael’s thoughtseizes i wouldn’t mind borrowing a misty rainforest and verdant catacombs from someone
i can play without them if they are vital to other people’s decks though
